The Iceland University of the Arts is Iceland’s only university dedicated to the arts, bringing together all major artistic disciplines within a single institution. Internationally, it is distinctive for offering an exceptionally broad range of programmes while maintaining a relatively small student body. As the country’s sole higher education institution in the arts, it plays a vital national role in artistic education, research and cultural development.
